Donald Davidson’s Swampman, a physical doppelganger of a cognizer lacking the requisite history to have any memories but false ones, is in the news, though under the guise of “Boltzmann Brains”.

Interesting connection.
I am curious, has Davidson ever gotten anyone to accept the consequences of his argument as he sees them? I can’t imagine anyone actually being convinced by his argument, but I guess you never know.
