Thank you, flickr image search, for turning me on to Zombie Walks. So what is a Zombie Walk? atombient.org says:

In short a zombie walk is when a group of people gather dressed as zombies and walk/limp in procession through town scaring shoppers and beckoning the living to join their ranks. […] Zombie Attire is highly suggested. So is groaning and stumbling. Of course, if you don’t come as a zombie it is inevitable that you will become undead on arrival. This event is free and all ages and states of decay are welcome.
